The District Project was chosen based on the top three district project finalists, and was voted on by New York District Key Clubbers.  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital received the most votes and is the official District Project for the 2023-2024 service year.

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.

    St. Jude sees more than 8,800 active patients each year and provides hundreds of free consultations for doctors worldwide and conducts more clinical trials for cancer than any other children’s hospital across the United States.

    St. Jude Global works closely with medical institutions in low- and middle-income countries around the world to improve survival rates for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

    By 2030, our goal is to cure at least 60% of children with six of the most common kinds of cancer worldwide.  They won’t stop until no child — anywhere — dies from cancer.
